Algal Farms Inc. believes that algal biomass is a commodity of the future and has great potential for producing renewable biofuels while improving the environment. Growing Algae stores energy from the sun, removes pollutants from water and CO2 from the atmosphere more efficiently than other organisms. Harvested algae can be converted to fuel in the liquid, solid or gaseous form and produce fertilizer, animal feed, and other valuable products.
Algal Farms Inc. designed and constructed two pilot scale algae production facilities in Prince George County, Virginia. These facilities provide excellent platforms for technology and product development. Two Patent applications have been filed for equipment designs that will significantly reduce the cost of growing and harvesting algae.
