Rocky Mountain Innosphere Latest NICCE Partner
RMI, also known as the Rocky Mountain Innosphere, has joined the list of NICCE clients to bring their incubator partners' technology to market. Working closely in the clean energy and water sectors, RMI is rapidly making a name for itself and its new facility in Fort Collins, Colorado. In 2010, RMI's clean energy sector grew by 26% and capital raised by companies there exceeded $30 million. "Within 60 days of the ribbon cutting, RMI's team was able to lease out 90% of the building," stated Dr. Inge. Inge serves as the organization's chief strategist and team builder for new business and corporate partnerships. The facility is 30,000 sq/ft and houses mixed space, advanced IT infrastructure and significant biolab facilities. "We truly believe RMI sets the stage for innovation nationally and we are pleased to help lead this effort," stated Inge who also is the CEO and Chairwoman for NICCE, Inc.
As a result of the RMI experience and in the spirit of regional collaboration, NASA recently announced a major research innovation park just miles from RMI. The center will feature the latest in modeling and simulation and will partner with RMI and NICCE moving forward. This is going to be a world-class facility and between RMI, NASA, NICCE and NREL, there will be no better place in the world to commercialize technology than Colorado.
